my father is going to the Philippines this summer like he does every year but this year there is a reunion there honoring the 6th not sure of the correct spelling of the town but sounds like ifagow there is a memorial there to the sixth my dad goes there a lot he owns a house in tagatay city do you have any info about this event my dad is 93 but travels all over the Philippines he is still very active. still rides his motorcycle (which is very scary to me) his name is Len warmington he was shot in the chest by a jap woodpecker 3 time at corrigadore but was saved by a 6th infantry medic. he still holds those medics in high regard to this day. looking to hear from you soon
Mr. Warmington: Good to hear from you. Your father sounds amazingly active. Are you sure the town is not Baguio? Baguio was the scene of the final surrender of General Yamashita. I know that the 6th Infantry Division fought in the battle of Baguio and were present when Yamashita surrendered.
